Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all Remote Online Notarization (RON) services performed by LuxeScribe Group LLC and supplements the Master Service Policy, which also applies in full. PLATFORM & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS RON sessions are conducted via state-approved audio-visual technology per Florida Statutes §117.265. Signers must have a stable internet connection, a camera- and microphone-enabled device, and be in a quiet, well-lit environment. Technical failure on the signer's end does not waive applicable fees. Technical failure on the notary's end will result in a reschedule or full refund. IDENTITY VERIFICATION All signers must complete credential analysis and knowledge-based authentication (KBA) before notarization begins. A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required. Failed or incomplete identity verification will result in session termination and applicable fees. DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS Documents must be uploaded prior to the appointment and cannot be modified once the session begins. The notary does not draft documents or provide legal advice. Signers are responsible for ensuring documents are complete and notarization-ready. ADD-ON SERVICES Additional fees apply for services selected at booking, including extra notarized signatures, multiple signers, extended sessions, same-day scheduling, after-hour appointments, and weekend priority sessions. All add-on fees are disclosed prior to confirmation. SESSION TIME Each session includes up to 15 minutes of active signing time. Extended sessions are available as an add-on and must be selected at booking. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING 4+ hours before session: No charge Within 4 hours: 50% of total service fee Within 1 hour, no-shows, or failed ID verification: 100% of total service fee Same-day bookings are immediately subject to the within-4-hour cancellation policy. RECORDING & PRIVACY All RON sessions are recorded per Florida law and retained for a minimum of 10 years. Recordings are securely stored and only disclosed as required by law. Booking constitutes consent to recording. NOTARIAL AUTHORITY & JOURNAL The notary may refuse or terminate service if identity cannot be verified, the signer appears coerced or impaired, or the request violates Florida law. The notary must be physically located in Florida at the time of each session per Florida law. A notarial journal entry is recorded for every session. Signers may be located outside of Florida provided all legal requirements are met.
